When Will I See You Again (Poetry)

It's Christmas time again
As others feel the glow of hearth and home
I feel the loneliness inside
It's been four long years since I last saw your face
And I must admit
I miss you so much
I could not help but feel
a deep loneliness inside of me
As though a part of me is missing
As children sing Christmas carols outside
I feel a deep twinge of loneliness biting my heart
As though I am more dead than alive
Oh how I would count the days that you will be home again
Singing your favorite song as I watch enthralled by the sight
But alas everything is a dream
Since we both have to sacrifice for the sake of the kids.
Until then I will just be listening to my favorite song
I always associate with you
Weekend In New England by Barry Manilow
Hope you will always listen to it too.

Lovely poetry Sir MEL, I felt something inside me while reading this poem. Is the lovely woman in the picture your better half?

Hi Yen,
Yes, of course she is. She was forced to work in the US to pay all our outstanding debts and to support our kids. I have retired a long time ago because of sicknesses and the onus of providing for our family fell on the shoulders of my wife. We have been separated for more than four years now and when there are special occasions like Christmas and other holidays, I miss her terribly. But we understand that we both have to sacrifice for our children. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Rose,
My wife's name is Dita. She is living and working in Las Vegas as an insurance and housing agent. She has been in the US for more than four years now and probably next year she might get our youngest daughter and son. I miss her so much especially in times of holidays but we both have to sacrifice for our kids. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Nakakatouch naman ang poem mo Sir Mel. I feel you my friend. Napaka hirap talaga pag nalayo sa pinaka mamahal ano. Im sure your kids misses their mom too. I hope and pray makakauwi na aswa mo kahit ilang buwan bakasyon lang para makapiling kayo. She misses you too Sir Mel.

Hi Shy,
Thank you my friend for sympathizing with me. I really appreciate that. Napakahirap talaga mag aruga nang apat na taong malalaki na because I have to be a father and mother to them. There is no one I can turn to when I have problems with my kids especially the boys. I jut turn to God for comfort and strength. My wife may come home on Christmas next year to fetch my two youngest kids. Until then medyo tiis muna ako. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
