How Do You Feel When You Discipline Your Child?

How do you feel when you discipline your child? Do you balk at disciplining your child?

So many discipline techniques. So many theories. Positive reinforcement has long been used in training animals with magnificent results. That's what I'm trying on my kiddos and it's working so far.

Hi Parenting Class,
People have individual differences and so are children. There's no fast rules on how to discipline a child. It should be based on love and the desire to see the child grow in the fear of the Lord and as good citizens of our country. We follow the heart and always pray for God's guidance before we discipline or punish our child. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless.

Hi Charmie,
Of course I understand because you are still single and do not have a baby. Maybe in the succeeding years you will already have, lol. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Dhemz,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

I feel like I don't wanna be like how Mama and Papa disciplined us before. So when I discipline George, I make sure that I won't go beyond hurting him so much more.

Hi MelCole,
Disciplining our children does not mean hurting or spanking. Spanking should be the last resort if all else failed. A word of admonition or explaining the would be outcome of their deeds would probably be enough. But children nowadays are quite rebellious than children of yesteryears. There's just too much emphasis on individual freedom that sometimes kids abuse it by threatening to call 911 whenever reprimanded by their parents. Nothing beats bringing our kids to the way of the Lord. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
