Human Organs, Anyone?

Is the selling of human organs (like kidneys) by indigent and starving people to moneyed patients morally right or wrong? Explain your point of view.

Oops! I little complex this time. If we see it by the moral point of view, it would be wrong, 'cause simply, in many countries, it's forbidden, and even if it's not, that would be organ traffic, and the organs would get putrid while it's being passed from hand to hand.

But, in the other side, to real situation, is to calm the hunger and the poorness, I think it would be forgiven.

And I was talking about organs from people who already died, but if someone gets organ from still alive people, then, it would be worse than if the organs came from someone who already died.

after all that speech, it think it's wrong, there may be other ways to get money.

Big greetings and big hugs

Hi Mel, i simply say it's wrong, 'cause now there's something called, "organ donation", I mean, when someone dies, he or she decides to give his/her organs to someone who needs them. No selling organs is needed. I also say, there must be another way to get money.

If everyone sell organs, much people who need them, and don't have how to pay them, will die.

So I also choose it's wrong.

greetings and hugs

Hi Arthur,
Normally those who sell their own organs are still alive and are escorted to the hospital by the middle man and the buying patient so there's no danger of the organ being putrid as you say. There are so many cases of very poor people forced to sell their kidneys in impoverished countries like the Philippines and India and I heard, even in China. They have their own clandestine clinics in India where the illegal operations are conducted. Your point of view that the selling of human organs under any reason whatsoever is immoral is well taken. Thanks for your visit and your comments. God bless you and your loved ones always.

Hi Gusthav,
Thanks so much for your point of view. For you, organ selling for whatever reason is immoral and must be immediately stopped. The reason why this nefarious trade is proliferating is that moneyed people who needs an immediate kidney transplant advertise through the grape vine so that there are many enterprising middle men who roam the poorest districts of impoverished countries offering exorbitant payments for such organs. As they say, if there are no buyers, there are no sellers. Thanks for your point of view. God bless you and your loved ones always.

yeyyyy!! I finally found you here..guess what? All the time I was directed to the old blog dated Oct 2004 and it's because of your SPELLING of points=ponts!!hehhehe..

Added this one in my blogroll already...

wow..selling organs?? I don't think selling is appropriate but donation would be proper..in a case of "if I die I would like to donate bla bla bla..." Or even if I'm still alive, should someone in needs for a kidney transplant, I wouldn't mind donating it especially if it's involved family or the loved ones.

It involves morality and dignity when someone willing to "sell" their organs....for me definitely a NO NO situation..

THanks Mel..that's my 2 cents...

Hi Noushy,
Yes, I made an error in my url and I can't correct it anymore that's why I placed an addendum on one of my post in Random Thoughts to explain the situation. Anyway, you are here and I'm so happy for that. Thank you my dear friend for yur valuable point of view. It is well taken. God bless you and your loved ones always. Have a great and sunny day in foggy London always.

If a person has no other way out,I do not think anyone else should have a say in that.If we can't help either the patient or the donor who is selling out of their own problems,we should not judge them either.
